Mr. Duman is professor in Industrial Engineering Department at Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey.

He obtained his BS degree from Bogazici University Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department in 1990. Then, he got the MS and PhD degrees from the Industrial Engineering Department of the same university in years 1994 and 1998, respectively. After a couple of years of industrial experience he worked as a professor in the Industrial Engineering Department of Dogus University between 2001 and 2011.

In 2010, he founded System Optima to provide Data Analytics Solutions as consultancy. He aims to create synergy between the Academic World and Business. His main research areas are big data, data-mining, data analytics, operations research, metaheuristic approaches.
